I prayed along with St. Mary's Monday morning group that I would be able to contact a family that had made contact with the church for a family baptism. The arrangements to meet with them went wrong and I felt we had let them down. My prayer was that God would build a bridge to enable us to meet with them. On walking towards where I had the intention of calling in on their home, I saw a young woman with a child alongside and one in the pram, walking towards me. I felt prompted to ask if she was the mother who had made the enquiry; she said she was, and we had a warm and friendly conversation.
My prayers had been answered so quickly that I was totally overwhelmed.
Thank you Lord.
God's Regenerative Love
Three crosses had been made out of twigs for the prayer corner at St. Mary's Church for Easter. The area was being re arranged for the Pray for Ely Prayer Tent as part of Thy Kingdom Come, but when the crosses were going to be removed, the one in the middle and the one on the left were growing leaves. This reminded us of the criminals who were crucified with Jesus, one who insulted him, but the other who asked Jesus to remember him when he came into his Kingdom (Luke 23:39-43), the growing leaves an inspiring reminder of Jesus' resurrection love.
